Get a free AI key
The tools on this site work without any key at all. You copy the words, paste them into whatever AI you already use, and paste the answer back. That is free and it always will be.
A key just saves you the copying. With one pasted in, every step grows a button that says Write it with AI, and the answer lands in the box on its own.

The free one: NVIDIA
NVIDIA runs a page called NVIDIA Build. It is their shop window for the models they host, and they let developers use them for free. Their own words on the front page are "Free inference with leading models".
There were 82 models live on it the day this page was written, including Kimi K3, DeepSeek and NVIDIA's own Nemotron family.
The steps
- Open build.nvidia.com in your browser.
- Press Sign in at the top right. Make a free NVIDIA developer account, or use
one you already have. No card is asked for.
- Open any model's page. Kimi K3 is a good one to start with.
- Press the Get API Key button on that page.
- Copy the key. It starts with nvapi- and it is shown once, so paste it
somewhere safe before you close the tab.
- Come back to Book Factory or App Starter, open the AI key box at the top, and
paste it in. Press Test key. If it answers, you are done.
What to know before you rely on it
- The free allowance is not published as a number any more. NVIDIA replaced the
old credit system with limits that vary by model, and they do not say what they are. Treat it as generous but not unlimited.
- The usual reported ceiling is about 40 requests a minute. You will not hit
that writing a book by hand.
- If you signed up with a personal email address, NVIDIA may ask for a work
address to unlock a bigger allowance. A personal one still works for normal use.
- Models retire. That is why the key box lets you pick from several. If one
stops answering, pick the next one down and carry on.
Where your key goes
It is kept in your own browser and nowhere else. When you press a Write it with AI button, the key travels with that one request, straight through to NVIDIA, and then it is gone. This site never stores it, never writes it into a log, and never has a copy of it. Press Forget the key and it is wiped from the browser.
If you ever want to be certain, open a private window. Nothing will be remembered there at all.
For pictures and video: Higgsfield
Higgsfield makes images and video from a written description. It is the paid one. There is no free tier mentioned anywhere in their developer documentation, so treat it as something you choose to pay for rather than something you get free.
- The key comes from console.higgsfield.ai, under the server side credentials.
- The documentation is at docs.higgsfield.ai.
- It makes both still images and video. Their named models include SOUL, SOUL 2
and SOUL Cinema.
- Reported plans are 19, 59 and 129 US dollars a month, carrying 270, 1,200 and
3,000 credits, and the developer key draws from that same pot. That was not confirmed on Higgsfield's own pricing page, so read the price off their site before you pay anything.
Nothing on this site needs a Higgsfield key. It is here because people ask where to go for pictures and video, and that is where.
